Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid is La Roche-Posay's daily face sunscreen built around Mexoryl 400, the brand's patented UV filter developed to cover the "ultra-long UVA" wavelengths (380–400nm) that older sunscreen technologies leave on the table. SPF50+ broad-spectrum protection in a fluid so light it disappears on skin — the fragrance-free version strips out perfume for sensitive and reactive skin.
Why it works
Anthelios UVMune 400 uses La Roche-Posay's modern European filter system, designed to push UVA coverage further into the spectrum where photoaging actually happens. The result is full SPF50+ protection in an invisible-fluid texture, without the heavy white cast typical of mineral-only formulas.
- Mexoryl 400 — La Roche-Posay's patented filter, developed specifically to absorb ultra-long UVA up to 400nm. These are the wavelengths most linked to loss of firmness, persistent pigmentation, and what the brand calls "sun memory" on skin.
- Photo-stable filter system — Mexoryl 400 sits inside La Roche-Posay's broader European UV platform, covering UVB and the rest of the UVA range so protection stays even and stable in direct sun.
- Netlock technology + vitamin E — a film-forming polymer system that keeps the protective layer continuous on skin through heat, perspiration, and water, alongside antioxidant tocopherol to support skin against free-radical stress.
What you can expect
A very light, almost watery fluid that sinks in within seconds, leaves no white cast or shine, and layers cleanly under makeup. La Roche-Posay developed and tested Anthelios specifically for sensitive and reactive skin.
- SPF50+ broad-spectrum (UVB, UVA) with ultra-long UVA coverage up to 400nm
- PA++++ — the highest UVA rating on the Asian sunscreen scale
- Fragrance-free formula — no added perfume, no essential oils
- Water and sweat resistant — holds up through a normal day in the sun
- Designed for comfortable wear around the eye area
Common US use case: as the final morning step before makeup or alone on no-makeup days. The texture is light enough to wear all year, not just in summer.
Why we stock it
This is the European Anthelios formula with Mexoryl 400 — La Roche-Posay's flagship sunscreen across France, the rest of the EU, the UK, and Asia, but not stocked in standard US drugstores. We import it directly from authorized French distribution and keep it on our US warehouse shelf, so you don't have to wait three weeks on a parcel from Citypharma or take a chance on a marketplace seller of unknown origin.
How to use
Shake the bottle well. As the last step of your morning skincare, apply generously to the face and neck about 15–30 minutes before sun exposure, let it absorb for a minute, then apply makeup if you wear it. Reapply every two hours during direct sun exposure, and immediately after swimming, heavy sweating, or towel-drying. For everyday indoor and commute use, a generous morning application is the baseline.
