Vichy 48H Anti-Transpirant is formulated to do both — reduce wetness and keep the underarm area feeling fresh — in a formula gentle enough for sensitive, freshly shaved, or waxed skin.

Is it safe to use on freshly shaved or waxed underarms?

Yes — this is one of the specific use cases the formula is built for. The alcohol-free, fragrance-free base avoids the main sources of sting and irritation on recently shaved or waxed skin. Vichy describes it as suitable for sensitive or depilated skin, and it is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. As a practical note: if your skin is still actively sensitive immediately after waxing, it is worth waiting an hour or two before applying any product to the area.

Does it contain aluminum? Is that something I should be concerned about?

Yes, it contains aluminum chlorohydrate — this is the ingredient that gives any antiperspirant its sweat-reducing effect. Without it, a product is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant.
